What’s a Walt Disney World Magic Ticket?
UK Disney Magic Tickets are exclusive date-based tickets for guests from the UK and Ireland the give access to the 4 main theme parks, and 2 water parks, with other exclusive benefits. They’re the best option for most people in the UK looking to buy Walt Disney World park tickets before they fly; you can’t buy this type of ticket in the US.
2 Tickets To Choose From
Only two types of Magic Ticket are available to buy:
- A 7-day Magic Ticket
- A 14-day Magic Ticket
Both ticket options offer the same perks. The only difference between tickets is the duration, not what’s included.
What exactly is included with 7 & 14 day Magic Tickets?
A UK Disney Magic Ticket includes far more than just basic entry to the four Disney World theme parks:
Feature | Disney UK Magic Tickets | Notes for UK Guests |
|---|---|---|
4 Disney Theme Parks | ✅ Unlimited entry on days within validity window | Park hop as many times a day as you like at any times. |
Water Parks | ✅ Included | Access doesn’t use a theme-park day if you skip the four main parks that day. |
Park Hopper | ✅ Included | Visit multiple parks on the same day. |
Memory Maker | ✅ Included | Unlimited PhotoPass pictures to download for 45 days from date picture is taken. |
Mini Golf | ✅ Included | One round per day at one of two available mini golf courses |
There are essentially 6 perks included in the UK Disney Magic Ticket offer, that you pay extra for when buying tickets in the US. If you want to read more about these differences head to our guide looking at whether 'it’s better to buy on the gate in the US or a Magic Ticket in the UK.
Theme park entry and Park Hopper
Magic Tickets include entry to all four Walt Disney World theme parks for 7 or 14 days depending on the ticket you buy, including:
- Magic Kingdom
- EPCOT
- Disney's Hollywood Studios
- Disney's Animal Kingdom
You can enter, leave, and re-enter parks as many times as you like on each of your 7 or 14 days. In the US, this is known as park hopping and is a ticket add-on. For UK visitors its included as part of your ticket. To find out how to get the most of the Magic Ticket park hopping perk head to Park Hopping At Disney World: Why A Park Hopping Strategy Maximises Your Day
Is water park entry included with Magic Tickets?
The UK Magic Ticket includes 7 or 14 days of entry to Disney water parks:
- Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
- Disney's Blizzard Beach
You’re allocated 7 or 14 theme park days and 7 or 14 water park days to use within the ticket validity window. This gives UK guests even more value, as water park rest days don’t affect theme park days. For example you could visit a water park for 2 days and still have 14 days in the theme parks.
Memory Maker
Memory Maker is the part of the Magic Ticket which gives you access to Photo Pass pictures. This means that you can get free pictures of your trip. This gives you:
- All on-ride photos
- Photos with characters at certain locations
- Photos taken by Disney photographers around the parks (these are the Cast Members in the green shirts)
- Access to Magic Shots, which is when a character or Disney image is inserted into your picture.
For UK visitors this adds lots of value to your holiday. To read more on how to get the most from this head to Memory Maker: how to use the free UK Magic Ticket perk.
Sport, Golf & Extras
Sport and golf extras are also included in the Magic Ticket offering something to do on those important rest days. Both 7 and 14 Day Magic Tickets include:
Activity | Location | Small Print Usage Rules |
|---|---|---|
9-hole golf | Oak Trail Golf Course | Green fees are included for the 9-hole walking course, but you have to adhere to tee off times and book in advance. You also need to pay to rent your clubs as this is not included in the cost. |
Mini Golf | Winter Summerland OR Fantasia Gardens | Includes 1 game a day at either location. You have to begin your game of mini golf before 4pm for it to be free, otherwise you will be charged full price to play. |
Sports Complex | ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex | Include entry for standard events, not separately ticketed events. |
While these activities aren’t the reason you head to Disney World, they do add value to your ticket if you want a slower paced day or break away from the parks.
Magic Ticket Usage Windows
Magic Tickets are date-based tickets. This means when you buy, you choose a start date. Your start date is the first date your ticket is valid from, and even if you don’t enter a park on this day it is when your ticket validity windows begins. A UK Disney Magic ticket is not valid from the first day you enter the parks, but rather the day you choose when buying your ticket. If it’s bought as part of a package this is often the day you fly, so always check this when booking as we have been caught out with that.
Your ticket is then valid for a set window of days, during which you can use your park entries in any order you like. This is your validity window, which you can explore more in validity windows explained: planning itineraries with 7 & 14 day Magic Tickets.
Here are the usage windows for the two UK and Ireland Magic Ticket options:
7-Day vs 14-Day Magic Ticket: Which Should You Choose?
This is a question many people face when buying a Magic Ticket from the UK, as the 14-day ticket can sometime cost less than the 7-day ticket.
You’ll find that the price difference between the tickets is small, even when there isn’t an offer on, which makes it tempting for many people to buy the 14-day option and enjoy the option of being able to dip into Disney parks for more than 7 days.
The value of a 7-day or a 14-day ticket is ultimately one you have to decide, but the flexibility the 14-day ticket offers for stays of more than 10 days is often something UK visitors to Disney want.
US Tickets Vs UK Magic Tickets
US guests typically buy their tickets for a shorter trip and in comparison to the UK Magic Ticket they're complex, and more restrictive. The Walt Disney World Magic Ticket is a UK-exclusive, flat-rate ticket designed specifically for longer holidays of 7 or 14 days. Bundling almost everything you'll want to do at Walt Disney World resort into one simple price with no add-ons that change the price, it’s tailored for holidays from the UK.
If you are visiting Walt Disney World from the UK, this is the ticket you want if you want to tour the parks and spend more than 4 days in Disney World. It’s significantly better value than on the gate prices at Disney World in my opinion. If you’re interested in the price difference or thinking of buying on the gate because you don’t need 7 or 14 days entry read about the cost of a UK Magic Ticket Vs buying Disney park tickets on the gate. How Magic Tickets Priced & Best Value Time 2026/2027
Magic Tickets are not one price, and the cost varies by season. The price of a Magic Ticket is affected by:
- The type of ticket you need
- Adult tickets are for aged 10+ and cost the most
- Child tickets are age 3-9 and are on average around £30 less than adult tickets
- Children aged 2 and under go free
- Seasonal pricing which Disney separates into: low, regular, and peak.
The cheapest time to buy a Magic Ticket may actually surprise some people as Disney ticket seasons have their own unique patterns driven by predicted crowd levels in the parks, so Disney World weather plays a part. In 2026 and 2027, Magic Tickets were cheapest during the UK Summer holidays.

Where to buy Magic Tickets in the UK?
In the UK, there are three types of vendors you can buy Magic Tickets from:
- Through Disney direct
- Through a third party vendor
- As party of a package holiday that gives you additional UK ABTA or ATOL protection.
This table shows the pros and cons of each option:
Seller | Pros | Cons | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
Disney (direct) | Official source; tickets link to My Disney Experience at checkout | Pay in full; strict change/refund rules | Travellers who want everything in one place |
UK Vendors (e.g., Floridatix, Attraction Tickets) | Deposits, staged payments, optional cancellation cover; regular promo codes; strong UK customer support | You link tickets in the app yourself | Travellers who value deposit plans and flexible cover |
As part of a package | Pay as part of total holiday cost, often possible in instalments Works as part of an offer such as Free UK Dining Plan offer. | You need to link tickets yourself if you don’t book a package direct with Disney direct. Tickets can start on first day of holiday rather than first full day. | Travellers wanting everything in one place, who want deposits, who want to make booking easier, who are looking for offers combined with tickets |

Can you buy UK Magic Tickets in Orlando?
No, you cannot buy UK Magic Tickets while you are on holiday in Orlando. You need to buy your Magic Ticket in the UK before you leave for your Disney World trip. If you head off without your ticket you won’t have the 7 or 14 day option, the longest ticket option in the US is a 10-day ticket.
Using Magic Tickets
Magic Tickets are not posted to your address; they land in your inbox as a reference number. And you don’t need a physical card, although you can ask for one if you want one when you get to Disney World.
To use your Magic Ticket you use the proof of ticket purchase you get from an email and link it to your My Disney Experience App. You then use the app as your ticket or you can link the Magic Ticket to other devices through the app. It’s not as complicated as it sounds written down and only takes a few minutes, the options include:
- Linking your Magic ticket to your Magic Band
- Linking your Magic ticket to MagicMobile
- Linking your Magic ticket to your Apple Watch
Collect plastic cards from guest services at the front of the parks, or at hotel reception if you stay on-site. These will already be linked and are ready to go. If you do go for a plastic card, a lanyard can be handy to add to your packing list for easy access to your ticket.
Buying Lightning Lanes With Magic Tickets
Magic Tickets do not include Lightning Lanes. You buy Lightning Lanes after you have your Magic Ticket, and your Lightning Lane booking window opens. Lightning Lanes help you to skip long wait times, but it will cost more and the value comes down to personal choice. If you’re on the fence about whether a Lightning Lane is worth buying when you’ve got a Magic Ticket head to Do UK Visitors Need Lightning Lanes At Disney World With 14-Day Magic Tickets?
Should You Buy A Magic Ticket?
The Walt Disney World Magic Ticket is simple, flexible, and packed with value, but it isn’t the only ticket option for Disney World. You can:
- buy tickets on the gate
- buy tickets in the US off the Disney World website when you land
- buy an annual pass
- buy the UK Magic Ticket
- buy a combo-ticket
- buy a ticket to go to a special seasonal event
The UK Magic Ticket is designed to work with most UK holidays between 7 and 21 nights. (Disney no longer offer a 21-night Magic Ticket because it isn’t needed when you factor in the 18-day validity window of the 14-day ticket and travel days). The UK Magic ticket is usually the best option and it’s what I buy for daily theme park entry.
However, if you are lucky enough to be visiting Orlando on holiday more than 3 times a year, an annual pass is probably your best option. Our guide to buying a Walt Disney World annual pass as a UK resident helps you decide if it’s worth it, with a calculator to work out the cost per day and we discuss the only UK annual pass option for everyone.
Discounts, Offers, and ways to save
Magic Ticket offers are possible, and throughout the year The Walt Disney World Travel Company, Disney’s direct vendor in the UK, share different offers that make the Magic Ticket even better value. Third party vendors including Attraction Tickets also have offers on throughout the year.
For a look at the current Disney Ticket offers in the UK take a look at our Disney World UK Offers, Deals and Discounts 2026/2027 page.
A way to save no matter when you book is to check if you are flying near a change in season. Shifting your entry by a few days can save £100’s on tickets.
