EPCOT 1-Day Itinerary With Park Hopping Points (2026)
On This Page

Planning an EPCOT day as a visitor with a UK Magic Ticket means you have less need to do everything at once, because you will be able to have more than one day exploring. In this guide, you’ll find an example itinerary showing what a full EPCOT day looks like, advice on how to plan EPCOT with the UK Magic Ticket by making the most of park hopping, and a free downloadable EPCOT day planner.
Planning An EPCOT Day As A UK Visitor
UK Visitors planning EPCOT with 14-day Magic Tickets don’t need to create full day itineraries, spending all day in one park. The UK Magic Ticket is designed to help you park hop. Dipping in and out of the parks by park hopping is the most effective strategy UK visitors have to avoid being completely worn out in a few days.
As EPCOT is a park you can drop in and out of easily, taking advantage of the parks links to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios is a must when planning. This means you can shift plans easily if you find wait times are lower in a different park, so it’s important UK visitors have an itinerary with that built in flexibility.
While EPCOT is an easy park to explore on the surface, it’s really easy to miss some of the highlights the 11 pavilions around World Showcase have to offer. You have to really wander around to find some of the best bits, such as seeing Duffy memorabilia or finding unique country-themed merch. By taking a more relaxed approach to your day, and planning in sections, you can do this, experiencing more with less overwhelm.

Creating A One-Day EPCOT Itinerary With A UK Magic Ticket
When you have a UK Magic Ticket, the best way to build an itinerary is to know what you want from your time in EPCOT. With a 14-day UK Magic Ticket, if you’re visiting during an EPCOT Festival you’ll probably want to tweak your itinerary to explore the Festival, which for me means adding an extra half-day to your overall EPCOT plan.
If you’re planning a family trip head over to our ride height requirements calculator to see what you’re little ones are tall enough to ride, and make sure you know how to use rider switch so those tall enough can still enjoy the ride.
When I plan for EPCOT, I split my plans by what I want to do and the time of day:
- relaxed festival exploration
- early morning rides
- thrill rides
- afternoons and evenings at EPCOT
Why Having A Flexible Itinerary Works
I plan like this as a UK visitor because I have a longer time to visit the parks, crowds are unpredictable, and it’s realistic. Having an adaptable itinerary is necessary because:
- You can’t suddenly change holiday dates because you didn’t realise it was a marathon weekend and everywhere is busy
- It’s possible to decide you’ll move every plan to get the dining reservation you missed that is suddenly available.
- You feel worn out after underestimating the impact of jet lag, heat, and days of walking over 10,000 steps that is now catching up with you.
Planning To Use Lightning Lanes?
This itinerary does not account for having any Lightning Lanes. If you’re buying a Lightning Lane Single Pass it's easy to just adapt this plan around one ride; as you have a single return time. However, if you buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass at EPCOT there are too many variables to share an accurate fixed itinerary that you can replicate.
Why EPCOT Festivals Need A Different Plan
EPCOT festivals need a different itinerary if you want to get the most out of what’s on offer. While you can weave EPCOT Festival activities into your day if you have less time, visitors with 14-day UK Magic Tickets can really take-in Festivals by carving out itineraries with mini festival segments. What this means is that you put aside a small section of a day to just enjoy what the festival has to offer. This includes activities and snack booths.
Festival experiences are not best in the morning, so planning to take in Festival offerings works best from lunchtime onwards in my experience. For more on what to expect during EPCOT festivals head to our guide to all of EPCOT's Festivals.
Best One Day EPCOT Itinerary For UK visitors
This itinerary is sectioned into times of day and includes time break-downs from experience, it also includes a thrill seekers EPCOT itinerary section at the end. This is by no means exhaustive and planning a day to this level of detail is not needed, you can just head to a Disney Park and enjoy.
This itinerary is designed to be split up, so you can park hop, and do EPCOT over a few days, but will also work as a full one day itinerary if you're short on time. This is not exhaustive and can be combined with other approaches like rope drop or early entry itineraries. This is here to give you an idea of what you can do in one full day, and for you to steal if you're struggling to plan an EPCOT day.
Morning at EPCOT
EPCOT mornings can feel rushed, no matter whether you are using rope drop or early entry strategy to reduce the amount of time you spend queuing for the most popular rides. While wait times jump significantly as people flood to the popular rides, wait times in general are lower across the park in the first hour, so arriving 5 minutes after the queues have gone won’t destroy a day.
A morning in EPCOT can look like this did for me in early May:
08:45: Arrive for rope drop at Main International Gateway entrance
09:00: Head to Guardians of the Galaxy (35 minutes wait)
09:50: Head to Soarin’ (15 minutes wait)
10:20: Head over to Living with the Land (walk-on)
10.35: Head to Test Track 3.0 (45 minute wait)
11.30: Starbucks stop and snacks / early lunch (lunch with little ones)
This is the point to consider a park jump on the monorail to Magic Kingdom.
Afternoon at EPCOT
It’s the busiest time of day in EPCOT and wait times for all the popular rides will be at over an hour most days. This is the time to put in a Festival plan, park hop to experience quieter rides in other parks by checking the My Disney Experience App, enjoy a quieter late breakfast or lunch experience, or consider heading somewhere else entirely if you have had a morning in EPCOT.
An EPCOT afternoon in early May looked like this:
12.20: Spaceship Earth (10 minutes wait)
13:45: Heading to Moana Journey Through Water (15 minute walkaround)
14:10: Heading to Journey Into The Imagination With Figment (walk-on)
14:20: Join queue to meet Figment (10 minute wait)
14:35: Heading to Sea Pavilion for a walk around the aquarium
14:50: Heading to get food and a drink in Connections
15:30: In the Mexico Pavilion for Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros (pretty much a walk-on)
15:45: Wander the Norway Pavilion and do Frozen Ever After (65 minute wait)
17:00: Grab a drink from the Joffreys at The American Adventure and head to the International Gateway and France
This is where you can use the Disney Skyliner to park hop over to Hollywood Studios.
Evening at EPCOT
The evenings in EPCOT don’t get quieter,
17:20: Head into Beauty and the Beast Sing Along (10 minute wait)
17:50: Head to explore UK and Canada Pavilions (30 minutes)
18:20: Head to do Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (50 minute wait)
19:15: Head to get some food in the Italy Pavilion quick service: Pizza Al Taglio
20:00: Meet Mickey and Pals in World Celebration with a 10 minute wait and then grab any snacks
20:30: Find somewhere to stand for Luminous: The Symphony of Us with the snacks
Thrill-seekers EPCOT Itinerary
If you or anyone in your party is looking for a thrill seeker itinerary for EPCOT, this is for you. EPCOT is the easiest park to navigate to hit all the fast thrills in one area: World Future. World Future is also near the main entrance, so you can monorail over to Magic Kingdom to find the thrill rides there too.
This EPCOT thrill ride itinerary took us under an hour and a half to do on a Monday morning in early May:
09:00: Guardians of the Galaxy (35 minutes)
09:45: Test Track 3.0 (30 minutes)
10:15: Mission Space (walk-on)
That’s every EPCOT thrill ride done, and there isn’t much of a walk between rides either. Just be aware that if you do this in a morning and the ride is down, it will add to your time.

Do You Need a Plan or Itinerary for EPCOT?
No, you don’t need a plan or an itinerary to enjoy a day in EPCOT. For some UK visitors it’s helpful to have an idea of what the day will look like, a full hour-by-hour plan can actually be more stressful, so avoid it. If you have a dining plan, or you’re planning table service meals, or other activity bookings, it is helpful to have them written down in a planner so you know where you need to be and when.
Never feel like you need to plan every minute of your day in EPCOT; the best magic and memories happen when you least expect it. That means they can’t be scheduled.

How do I plan my day at EPCOT?
The best way to plan an EPCOT day is to break your day down into three manageable chunks, so you can add in any dining reservations or park hopping points. Balance your day with headliner rides, slower attractions such as shows, add in Kidcot stops if you have kids, and snacks.
What are some of the must-do things to include in an EPCOT itinerary?
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a must for any thrill-seeker, Soarin' is an iconic ride that can't be missed, and a walk through Moana: Journey Through Water are three must do attractions at EPCOT. And don't forget a trip on Spaceship Earth to hear Dame Judi Dench narrate the story of humankind's advancements.
Is there a best strategy for planning one-day in EPCOT?
Allow some flexibility in your plan even with only one-day, put in plenty of air-conditioned breaks, and if you have Early Entry make the most of it for the headliner rides. Balancing the thrilling rides with the calmer more educational EPCOT pavilions is the best strategy, and if you visit during a Festival take in at least one Festival event if you only have a day.
