Most Disney World table-service meals expect an 18-22% tip. Remember, quick-service locations don't require tipping. If you're travelling as a larger group, always check your receipt as Disney add an 18% gratuity to groups of 6 or more automatically.

How does the tip calculator work?

This tip calculator is easy to work, add in your pre-tax amount if you are budgeting and using restaurant prices from Disney menus at home, or put in your total receipt cost including tax to get your tip amount in USD and GBP.

Do I Tip On Pre- Or Post-Tax Amounts?

In the US, sales tax is added to the bill and not the amount you see on the menu in the restaurant. You’ll see a price in a menu, and then when the bill comes there will be the amount on the menu and a tax amount that then make the total.

In reality, it does not matter whether you work out your tip from the pre-or post-tax amount, but according to US conventions, you tip on the pre-tax amount.
