Disney World Value Resorts: Which Hotel Is Best For Holidays From The UK
On This Page

Value Resorts are Disney World most affordable hotel tier and accommodation standards and prices compete with what is on offer in places like International Drive. This is especially true when you take into account Disney Guest Benefits which Value hotel guests have included.
Disney Value Resorts: Which Is Best For UK Holidays To Disney World?
Choosing a Disney World Resort to stay in, when you’ve chosen a Value Resort still leaves you with 5 hotels to choose from Here’s a quick overview of which to choose and why:
Hotel | Best For |
|---|---|
All Star Sports | The most budget conscious travellers as this is usually the lowest priced option for a Disney Hotel. |
All Star Music | Good for families of 4 or 5 on a budget who are looking for more space |
All Star Movies | Good option for UK adults, and anyone who wants a smaller All Star Resort |
Pop Century | Best for lower price Skyliner access, good all-rounder for any age group |
Art of Animation | Biggest pool, Skyliner access, but very big on Disney theming and it can feel a bit over stimulating. With suites it is an option for bigger family groups. Least favourite option. |
What Are Disney World Value Resorts?
Don’t let the term Value put you off choosing a Value Resort. They are Disney World’s most affordable hotel option, and don’t feel all that Value, especially with the added benefit of Disney guest Perks. Value Resorts are furthest away from the parks, but have a free bus or Skyliner service that connects you for free, they have basic swimming pool areas, and rooms are simple, a bit Travel Lodge like.
They are clustered in two pockets: the three All-Star hotels are found near Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Pop Century and Art of Animation face each other across Hourglass Lake.
They are not, and do not pretend to be, luxury. Disney describes them as themed; more honestly there’s giant displays of oversized icons relating to the hotel name and minimal room theming.
Why stay at a Value Resort?
Value resorts give you access to Disney guest benefits, which can make it cheaper to stay at Disney World rather than off-site depending on what you have planned and whether you go for car hire or not.
There are really four main reasons to consider a Value Resort and 2 are linked to guest benefits:
- Early Theme Park Entry. Thirty minutes in the parks before non-resort guests, every day of your stay. It’s a useful perk you’ll feel the benefit from, and a Value Resort guest gets precisely the same access as someone in a Moderate Hotel.
- Free transport, so no hire car. Buses to all four parks, plus the Skyliner if you're at Pop Century or Art of Animation. For a UK family staying Disney only, this removes hire car cost. But if you’re wondering if hiring a car and staying on-site at Disney World: is worth it, Disney also offer free parking which can add up to a saving of £100’s over a fortnight.
- You don’t plan on being in the room and are happy with shared amenities like the pool.
- You prefer a Value stay to spend more on having experiences around the resort, like a couple of table-service character meals, or trying a behind-the-scenes tour, rather than paying more for accommodation.
What’s the price of Value Resorts for 14 night holidays?
A value resort is the most affordable Disney hotel option for UK visitors looking for 14-night holidays. Value hotels offer UK visitors good value, and I love staying in a Value resort. The price of staying in a Value resort varies by which hotel you stay in, room type, when you visit, where you book, and how long you stay for.
This is our UK ranking of Value resorts from most affordable to most expensive when picking standard rooms:
- Disney’s 3 All Star resorts
- Disney’s Pop Century
- Disney’s Art Of Animation

This table shows the price of 14 night holiday between 25th July and 8th August 2027 at each value hotel and includes the price per night for a UK family of 4:
Hotel | Price for 14 nights | Price per night |
|---|---|---|
Disney’s All Star Sports | £2,383 | £170.21 |
Disney’s All Star Music | £2,432 | £173.71 |
Disney’s All Star Movies | £2,432 | £173.71 |
Disney’s Pop Century | £3,057 | £218.36 |
Disney’s Art of Animation | £3,586 | £256.14 |
What are the rooms like in Value Resorts?
All Value Resort rooms are very similar in both layout and amenities. The main differences lie in the theming inside the room, and the types of room you can book. All Value Resorts have the following:
- Drinks cooler (works like a mini fridge)
- Hey Mickey: Disney’s version of Alexa
- single-serve coffee machine (usually Cuisinart) with complimentary coffee pods, tea, sugar, and creamer.
- Drawers under a large flat-screen TV, plus elevated beds to slide your suitcases underneath.
- Plenty of standard wall outlets and USB charging ports near the beds and dresser.
- A split-bathroom: the sink and vanity area is separate, while the toilet and shower/bath combo are behind a closing door.
- Wall-mounted pump dispensers in the shower with Disney's H2O+ (or equivalent) shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
- An in-room safe, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, telephone, and free Wi-Fi.
Not all Value Resorts have every type of room option, as the table shows:
Hotel | Standard Room (2 queen and 1 king options) | Preferred Room (2 queen and 1 king options) | Family Suite |
|---|---|---|---|
All Star Music | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
All Star Sports | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes | ❌ No |
All Star Movies | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes | ❌ No |
Disney’s Art of Animation | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
Disney’s Pop Century | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes | ❌ No |
Choosing between Standard and Preferred rooms all comes down to location. UK families wanting more space overall may wish to consider a suite option at Value level, which gives the most space at the lowest price point on Disney property. Suites are only available in two Value resorts: All Star Music and Art of Animation.
Transport Options at value resorts
Hotel | Bus | Disney Skyliner |
|---|---|---|
All Star Music, Sports and Movies | ✅ Yes | ❌ No |
Disney’s Art of Animation | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
Disney’s Pop Century | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
All 5 Value hotels have only 2 transport options, so the decision comes down to whether you want to stay in a hotel with Skyliner access or without. Pop Century and Art of Animation share a Skyliner station, linking the resorts to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. If you suffer from motion sickness or have a fear of heights and it’s your first trip to Disney World, don’t be swayed by the Skyliner because you could end up paying more for for a perk you won't use.
What are the pools like at Value Resorts?
The pools in Value Resorts are simple, with large style theming, but in all Disney Value resorts you will find:
- life jackets to use
- free towels to use
- lifeguards on duty
- pool activities at certain times of the day
- kids splash area
Expect to find a main pool, and a smaller quieter pool which has even less theming away from the main pool.
Hotel | Main pool | Smaller second pool | Number of pools | Water Slide |
|---|---|---|---|---|
All Star Music | Calypso Pool | Piano Pool | 2 | ❌ No |
All Star Sports | Surfboard Bay | Grand Slam Pool | 2 | ❌ No |
All Star Movies | Fantasia Pool | Duck Pond Pool | 2 | ❌ No |
Disney’s Art of Animation | The Big Blue Pool | Cozy Cone Pool | 2 | ❌ No |
Disney’s Pop Century | Hippy Dippy Pool | Computer Pool Bowling Pool | 3 | ❌ No |
Where Value Resorts fall short
Value Resorts are perfectly fine, even for 2 weeks trips, but they are the lowest end of Disney’s hotels and UK visitors may find:
- Rooms are small for families of four, especially if the bed is down
- The resorts are also sprawling: there's no internal transport, so a room at the far end means a real walk, and rooms closer to the lobby carry a preferred surcharge at every Value except Art of Animation.
- Dining options are restricted to just a food court on-site
- Rooms can be noisy, and if you are looking for subtle theming and a more grown-up experience, Moderate may be a better option.
- They fall short when it comes to the UK free drinks and dining offer, as you only get one meal and one drink free per night you stay.
Is it worth staying at a Value Resort?
Yes, it is worth staying in a Value resort as a UK visitor, not only is this the cheapest level of Disney hotels and gives you access to resort guest benefits that can save you money overall. Value Resorts offer UK guests the equivalent of a 3* standard of room only accommodation, and it does feel a bit like a very good Travel Lodge or Premier Inn in the rooms, just with a fancy Alexa, a touch of Disney theming and a better bathroom layout. It’s comfortable, practical and it does the job if you’re planning on spending most of your days out exploring the parks and surrounding Orlando area.

What does Value resort mean?
Value Resorts are Disney World’s most affordable hotel class, offering 3* equivalent room only accommodation.
How many Value Resorts are there?
There are 5 Disney World Value Resorts: Disney All Star Sports, Disney All Star Music, Disney All Star Movies, Disney’s Pop Century, and Disney’s Art of Animation.
Are Disney World Value Resorts worth it for UK families?
Yes, when planning a holiday mainly at Disney World Parks the on-site perks are identical to the pricier tiers, so you're paying less for the same Early Theme Park Entry and free park-to-park transport, not a worse version of the holiday. The trade-off is a smaller, plainer room.
Is there laundry at the Value Resorts?
Yes, all Value Resorts have self-service launderettes by the pools. They are easy to use, you pay through an app on your phone.
Do Value Resort rooms have a fridge, kettle and tea-making facilities?
Rooms have a small fridge, but no kettle. making a cup of tea with the Cuisinart coffee machine is not something I ever mastered. A proper cup of tea means a walk to the food court for hot water, or you’ll need to pack a travel kettle. You won’t need tea bags though as Disney use Twinings tea bags and they are free in Value rooms.
