Virgin Atlantic have now officially confirmed that the move to Terminal C in MCO, originally scheduled for April 2026 and then delayed with no timeline, will now happen on 30th June 2026. After a delay of exactly 9 weeks, (or 63 days), Virgin Atlantic will finally make the move after operating UK flights out of Terminal A for 34 years, since the first London Gatwick flight to Orlando in May 1992. This change means that all direct UK flights to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO) will now land in Terminal C.

Day flights begin flying to and from Terminal C

Shifting Dates: When Did Virgin Confirm The Move?

Late this afternoon, on 8th June 2026, Virgin Atlantic officially changed the information on their website’s Orlando Airport Guide confirming the date for the move to Terminal C in Orlando International Airport (MCO). The guide now states:

"Please note, from Tuesday 30th June, we are moving to Terminal C"

It has been a turbulent few months as Virgin Atlantic move from terminal A to Terminal C at MCO, causing UK passengers some confusion. Tickets have been changed, and changed again, but this looks like it will be the last change. The website now clearly shows the date as you can see below:

What Does This Mean For UK Travellers Flying From 30th June 2026?

The last day of Virgin Atlantic’s operations in Terminal A will be the 29th June 2026. From 30th June 2026 UK travellers heading to and from Orlando with Virgin Atlantic from any UK airport will no longer land in MCO’s Terminal A, instead they will land in Terminal C.

This change marks the end of an era for many visitors who associate arriving in MCO with the carpet, waterfall, and decor of Terminal A. From a practical point of view, UK visitors flying with Virgin Atlantic who have car hire bookings or transfers booked from or to Terminal A will be able to connect to Terminal C using the free Terminal Link that runs 24 hours a day if there is not enough time, or a charge incurred for making changes to bookings.

UK Virgin Atlantic customers may also still have Terminal A showing on their tickets, but this will be changed within a day or so, at most.

Terminal C Arrivals Has One Key Difference UK Visitors Need To Know About

Terminal C in MCO differs from Terminal A in one crucial way for arrivals: you collect your bags before you go through security. This can be a bit confusing the first time you go through Terminal C, but it does work fairly well and can make getting out of the airport and on to your hotel a faster experience.

Other differences include the longer walk and there’s no ride on the Gateway Link to look forward to. The Terminal is however light and airy, and the modern façade is just as welcoming as Terminal A, just different.

Magic In A Minute

The move that UK passengers flying with Virgin Atlantic to and from MCO knew was coming at some point this year has now been confirmed by the airline, as Virgin Atlantic move to Terminal C on 30th June 2026.
