Virgin Atlantic's April 2026 move to Orlando Terminal C delayed: UK passengers still using Terminal A

Virgin Atlantic is going to be flying into Terminal A beyond the 28th April 2026, as the move to Terminal C has been delayed, and no new date is confirmed as of April 20, 2026. Virgin Atlantic have yet to make an official announcement, and the website is showing mixed information, but ticket arrivals and departures at MCO have been updated as far out as September 2026, to Terminal A.

For UK travellers this Terminal change affects the onward journey and the return journey which are often booked months in advance. As Virgin operate the MCO route from:

  • London Heathrow

  • Manchester

  • Edinburgh for the summer season in 2026

This is not a small change that will only affect a handful of UK passengers. So, if you’re flying with Virgin Atlantic, check your tickets as you may need to make adjustments to your onward travel to Disney World.

Which terminal is Virgin Atlantic using at Orlando right now?

Right now, Virgin Atlantic is flying into Terminal A, and will be continuing to do so for the foreseeable future, despite announcing a move to Terminal C in April 2026. This move is now delayed, and all UK visitors flying with Virgin will be landing and departing in Terminal A for the foreseeable future.

Confusion on Virgin’s website

If you head over to Virgin Atlantic's own Orlando airport guide, it says all Virgin Atlantic flights currently depart from and arrive at Terminal A. On the same page, Virgin says it is moving to Terminal C, but adds that it will only confirm the move date once CBP approvals have been received.

In the same live airport guide there’s still older check-in wording that says desks would move to C17, Terminal C, Level 2 from 28th April 2026, even though the terminal section above it says flights are currently operating from Terminal A until a new move date is confirmed. That is exactly why it is worth checking your live flight information rather than relying on older April 28th references you may have seen online.

Why has Virgin Atlantic's move to Terminal C been delayed?

Virgin has not published a detailed public explanation beyond saying that the move date will be confirmed once CBP approvals are in place. What we do know is that the airline's partner bulletin from 20 February 2026 said the move to Terminal C would happen from Tuesday 28 April 2026, while the current public airport guide no longer gives that fixed date and instead says flights are still using Terminal A for now.

Do you need to change Orlando airport transfers?

Possibly, if you have booked to be picked up from the airport through a Private Taxi company then you may need to send an email and make an adjustment. If you have booked car hire to collect from Terminal C rather than Terminal A, you have a couple of options. You can use the internal free linking transport within MCO to get to the Terminal C pick up point for car hire, or you can see if you can make an amendment to your booking to collect your car from Terminal A/B.

For people yet to book their transfers, it might be worth just asking the question about how making an amendment between Terminals would work if needed.

What happens if you fly later in 2026?

If your trip is still months away, you will probably find that your Terminal for departure and arrival at MCO has changed to Terminal A. People are reporting that their Terminals have been changed for flights as late as September 2026.

Is Terminal C better for UK travellers?

All other direct flights from the UK fly into Terminal C, which is the more modern Terminal at Orlando International Airport and arguably has more amenities beyond TSA. It is however a completely different experience than Terminal A. Many UK visitors returning to Florida have a nostalgic attachment to Terminal A, especially the carpet and the welcoming message from Buddy Dyer on the Gate Link.

With that said, Terminal A is currently undergoing renovations as part of a wider refurbishment of MCO. In my opinion, neither Terminal is distinctly better; it really does depend on your opinion, but the arrivals and departures experience are distinctly different in each Terminal.

Magic in a minute

Virgin Atlantic passengers from the UK will not be flying into Terminal C from April 28th 2026 as previously advertised. Virgin says it will confirm a new date once CBP approvals are in place.
