EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2027 with an extended 46-day run. that’s seven days longer than in 2026, while Disney Lorcana returns but as Festival sponsor for the first time. The 2027 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will run from 15th January to 1st March, which is a week longer than in 2026. This change is big for UK families travelling during February half-term, and the Lorcana addition may appeal to older UK children who play the game. Is Festival of the Arts getting more of the recognition it deserves with a longer window?

Changes, Date & Returning Events Announced For Festival Of The Arts 2027
Festival of the Arts has traditionally been EPCOT’s shortest festival, so to find the festival window extended by a full week in 2027 is welcome news, but it does seem to be at the cost of a shorter Flower and Garden Festival in 2027.
Dates | Saturday 16th January to Monday 1st March 2027 |

What’s confirmed to be returning in 2027? | DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series will return to the America Gardens Theatre Food booths, Expression Section paint-by-number mural, Artful Photo Ops, Chalk Art Galleries and visiting Disney artists |

Disney Lorcana Returns To Festival Of The Arts
Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game will have an even more prominent role in 2027, with the festival officially presented by Disney Lorcana TCG. This announcement comes following the announcement at D23 that Lorcana was returning to the Festival of the Arts and that a special Figment Lorcana card would be available during the Festival.
Certain Lorcana activities introduced at the festival last year will return in 2027 including the Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt, Collection Quest and Illumineer's Lounge. Disney has also confirmed there will be exclusive festival offerings for Lorcana fans, including promotional items and gifts with purchase available only during the event.
The partnership is a natural fit for a festival centred around Disney artwork, with Lorcana cards themselves featuring original interpretations of Disney characters from artists around the world. There is also growing number of Lorcana fans, including here in the UK, so the Lorcana TCG sponsorship gives fans a Disney Parks experience to engage with.
Seven More Days For UK Visitors To Try Festival Of The Arts
For the first time in the festival’s history, Festival of the Arts will continue into March, which is great news for UK families heading to Disney World during February half-term. Festival of the Arts ended on 23 February in 2026, but the 2027 extension means it will continue through the final weekend of February before ending on Monday, 1st March. But not only is the festival ending later, it’s running for longer as you can see:
Year | Festival Dates | Length |
|---|---|---|
2024 | 12 Jan - 19 Feb | 39 days |
2025 | 17 Jan - 24 Feb | 39 days |
2026 | 16 Jan - 23 Feb | 39 days |
2027 | 15 Jan - 1 Mar | 46 days |
For the past three years, the event has run for exactly 39 days, while the 2027 festival will stretch to 46 days. This is the longest period the festival will have run for and it is perhaps the addition of Lorcana as a sponsor that has led to the change. For UK families this sponsorship may perhaps offer teens and older children something to get excited about during the festival, especially if you have a Lorcana fan in your group.
What Else Is Returning In 2027?
Disney have shared that there will be 19 Food Studios around EPCOT, alongside Animation Academy, the Expression Section paint-by-number mural, Artful Photo Ops, Chalk Art Galleries and visiting Disney artists.
Magic In A Minute
EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts is getting a longer season for 2027, and it’s being sponsored by Lorcana TCG. UK visitors can expect a similar festival experience, but this is one festival that is leaning into content that may please card game fans but not necessarily all Disney Parks enthusiasts. For UK families with children, this festival is now also on during February half-term and has something to offer teens who play Lorcana.
