A traditional British pantomime based on the classic Peter Pan story by J.M. Barrie. Expect original panto comedy with local jokes, contemporary pop music, new and familiar characters from Peter Pan and a lively, engaging evening or afternoon at the theatre.
Rather than retelling the original tale, this pantomime is written by Jon Monie and pits Peter Pan against a returning Captain Hook in a new Neverland adventure. Life in Neverland seems peaceful after Peter Pan supposedly defeated Captain Hook but soon Peter begins to feel that the spark is gone and even considers growing up! Then rumours begin saying that Hook survived the crocodile and is plotting his revenge.
The Opera House York show features a cast drawn from both West End musicals and television, including Emmerdale's Tom Lister as the dastardly Captain Hook and Joe Sleight (from the West End's Blood Brothers) as Peter Pan.
Why Disney Fans Should Consider It?
This is a new story that's perfect for any Peter Pan fans, whether you like the J.M. Barrie original novel or Disney animated film or live action remakes. This show runs for 4 weeks and includes the UK school Christmas holidays so is ideal for a family afternoon out at the theatre or a couples evening out.
