Disney H2O Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon is a summer separate ticketed special event that is running fewer nights this year from 2nd June to 5th September 2026. Car parking is free at Typhoon Lagoon and is free for the event, so there’s no need to budget for parking costs along with ticket costs if you plan to go.

What’s Included With The Event That Isn’t With General Water Park Admission?

This is the big question for many UK visitors what more do you get than you would with regular admission, and it comes down to snacks, tunes, a few characters and the atmosphere. You’ll get free towels, (which is handy for UK visitors who have the hassle of washing and drying towels, not to mention the suitcase space they take up), and access to life jackets if you need them.

During the event Disney offer a rare character meet and greet with Powerline Max, and you can dance with Disney characters in the … beach area which is where the disco and DJ can be found. Characters include:

The character dance party is exclusive to the event, and so is the party lighting and music. The only other addition beyond a regular water park day is the snacks.

Is There A Dress Code?

Yes, there is a dress code, which is largely common sense, but here it is direct from Disney. Disney opens in a new tabstate that:

• Inappropriate swim attire, swim attire with buckles, rivets, zippers or exposed metal and other sharp objects are not allowed on any of the attractions.
• Jeans (denim) and wetsuits (neoprene) are not permitted on the following attractions at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park: Bay Slides, Humunga Kowabunga, Ketchakiddee Creek and Storm Slides.
• For safety, diaper-age children must wear plastic pants or swim diapers in pool areas.

Is Disney H2O Glow After Hours Worth It For UK Visitors?

It’s not really worth it for most UK visitors, and if you have a UK Magic Ticket with free water park entry included this event is not going to feel like value for money. Any UK visitors staying on-site can also have free water park access during the summer on the day they check in to their Disney hotel.

The value for this event lies in the snacks, atmosphere, and character interactions. For anyone struggling with the Florida heat who wants a water park experience, this is when it may be worth it. But the late night timing could put a lot of families off, with the 11pm finish time not great if you are still struggling with adjusting to Florida time. It’s not an event to consider if you have younger children, anyone under 7 say, but if you have teenagers or young adults they will probably get the most from this event.

Overall, UK visitors will find more value in an After Hours park event at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios this summer, or in heading to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. While these special events do cost more than H20 Glow After Hours you’ll get more out of the experience overall. The Halloween vibes and trick or treating is perfect for families and the lowest price point is during August, so if it’s an August H20 Glow After Hours or MNSSHP, pick the Halloween Party.

After Hours in the parks run at the same time as this event with Magic Kingdom’s After Hours ending to make way for MNSSHP mid way through the Glow After Hours event at Typhoon Lagoon. Again, an After Hours event in the park will give you the same free snacks, lower ride wait times and a night time parks experience.
