Managing opening day expectations
The hype surrounding the opening of World of Frozen in the newly renamed and reimagined Disney Adventure World has been building for months. People eagerly rushed to buy tickets when the World of Frozen opening date was announced back in January 2026.
Disneyland Paris have today suggested in guest communication that access to World of Frozen is implied not guaranteed due to the high number of guests expected to visit the parks. They said:
"We cannot guarantee that all Guests will be able to access World of Frozen, or its experiences"
Extra queues and merch locations
Disneyland Paris have confirmed that there will be a queue to enter World of Frozen on opening day. Disney say:
"Due to the high level of demand expected, Guests may be invited to wait in a dedicated queue before accessing World of Frozen, to ensure everyone enjoys a unique experience in the best possible conditions."
While stand-by queues are expected to be high for Frozen Ever After, you are going to need to try and get a Virtual Queue to meet Anna and Elsa at A Royal Encounter With Anna And Elsa. To do this you will need to get onto the app to book as soon as the Virtual Queue drops at 9.45am. If you don’t get a slot, try again at 2pm. Expect slots to be gone quickly, so make sure you have everything set-up on the app beforehand to give you the best chance of getting a space.
If you are looking for Frozen merchandise, Diseny has shared that the full product range for World of Frozen, excluding the following two items:
Runa the interactive baby troll
and mini figurines
can also be found in Studios Store. They are clearly expecting high demand, and are giving people a chance to get World of Frozen merch outside of Arendelle Boutique.
Head to Disneyland Park on 29th March
The advice from Disneyland Paris is that if you have a multi day, multi park ticket, head to Disneyland Park instead. Now while this is a good planning strategy, it does suggest that wait times are going to be very high. It’s also a bit frustrating, as it suggests they are going to struggle with capacity. However, only time will tell.
For anyone planning on visiting opening day, Disneyland Paris want you to be prepared to queue, and for longer than you would expect. A good way to do this is to make sure you have essentials in you park bag, including:
Making sure you have a power bank to keep your devices charged, you’ll be using them quite a bit.
Snacks and a reusable water bottle.
Some headache tablets, and some rehydration sachets. Even though it isn’t hot, standing around can leave you feeling headachy and drained, so be prepared.
If you have the ability to change your park days around, expect others to be doing the same following this latest advice. This means that queues will be longer than average across both theme parks for attractions, so go prepared. Planning for standing around and managing the expectations of children, and adults in your party will help.
What this means if you have a ticket
If you have a ticket for Disneyland Paris this news may be a bit deflating, especially if you are excited to see World of Frozen. The land can be seen from across Adventure Bay, and you’ll get a taste of that immersive landscaping that is being teased online. The best advice, if you are heading into Disney Adventure World on 29th March, is to get to the park as early as you can, prepared to queue. And head over to World of Frozen if that is our aim; the earlier you are there, the better chance you will have of experiencing it. Just expect to queue for hours.
Magic in a minute
Disneyland Paris confirm they are expecting an extremely busy day with high crowd levels and long queue on 29th March for the opening of World of Frozen in Disney Adventure World.
