What to Expect From Disney Cascade of Lights
Disney have announced that this show will offer guests a 360 degree perspective, meaning you won’t need to rush to a viewing spot to see the show. Disney Cascade of Lights has been designed to give incredible views from anywhere around the edge of Adventure Bay.
Here’s what we know you can expect to experience from the show so far:
A spectacular visual display provided by a blend of water screens, choreographed fountains, projections, dynamic lighting, pyrotechnics, and a world first display of 379 aerial and aquatic drones designed exclusively by Disney and Dronisos.
See your favourite characters from both Disney and Pixar brought to life in the show’s storytelling, with characters from Moana, Up, Zootopia, Hercules, Mulan and The Avengers.
A new musical score performed by a 90-piece orchestra has recorded new arrangements of iconic tracks such as “How Far I’ll Go”
Disney are looking to inspire their guests with this show, stating that it is:
"This spectacular is designed as an emotional journey – an invitation for every guest to believe in their own inner strength, to embrace wonder, and to feel the power of storytelling in a way only Disney can deliver"
Disneyland Paris Leads The Way
Disneyland Paris is leading the way once again with night time show technology. In not only a Disney Parks first, but a world first, the new night time show at Disney Adventure World will feature an aquatic drone system integrated with an aerial drone system. This innovative blend of drone technology opens the pathway for a a new level of sensory storytelling.

Depending on the crowd reception to this technology, it is something guests may see rolled out to other Disney parks around the world. Disneyland Paris is certainly the trailblazing Disney Park when it comes to drone shows, with the first ever daily, or should we say nightly, drone show appearing in Disneyland Park in 2022 for the 30th Anniversary celebrations. Therefore it seems only fitting that this pioneering aquatic drone technology makes it’s Disney debut at Disneyland Paris.
Changing The Viewing Experience
This show looks set to change the viewing experience for night time shows. As the 360 degree viewing is promising good views from all around Adventure Bay it is possible that standing around for hours to get the best view may be something Disney is hoping to move away from. Being able to reclaim hours in your day and still see that all important night time show would be brilliant for park guests.
Obviously, we need to see how this is going to play out in practice but there is an intimation here that suggests you can continue to enjoy other experiences and then make your way to anywhere around Adventure Bay to catch the show at show time. The promise of a tiered viewing system also suggests that all guests will be able to experience the full visual impact of the show and storytelling.

At Disneyland Paris especially, this would be incredible, given you need Premier Access to get the full experience of the castle projections during Disney Dreams. For many people who watch Disney Dreams the projections are missed because of children on the shoulders of parents obscuring views, or simply distance from the castle.
With this said, drone based shows are weather dependent, just like fireworks shows, so in bad weather Disney Cascade of Lights is unlikely to run. But one thing is for sure, this is going to become the signature night time show at Paris’s reimagined park. So expect huge queues and sell-out days from March 29th 2026.
