Drones lit up the Paris sky for Avatar: Fire and Ash Premiere

In celebration of the new Avatar film, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Disneyland Paris is debuting a limited time drone show between 13th and 17th December 2026 according to the Country Manager for The Walt Disney Company France.

The film is premiering in French cinemas on the 17th December and the Disneyland Paris drone show will almost serve as a warm up to to the release.

Drone Show And Announcement

On Friday 5th December, the European premiere for the film took place in Paris at La Seine Musicale. As part of the Avatar: Fire and Ash European premier celebrations, a 3,700 drone show took place. You can see the show below:

The cinematic show features drones bringing characters from the Avatar franchise, as well as banshees and the Tree of Souls. The show was set to a newly composed score by Simon Franglen.

Two days ago, on 8th December, the President of the French Division of The Walt Disney Company, Helene Etzi, wrote in a LinkedIn post (translated into English by LinkedIn) that:

"Among the most memorable moments, how can we not mention the breathtaking show of 3,700 drones that drew spectacular tableaux in the Parisian sky to the original music of Simon Franglen! A breathtaking performance, which will be at Disneyland Paris from December 13 to 17!"

There is no other information currently available about what guests can expect from the drone show, but if it is anything like the show put on above the skies of Paris, Disneyland visitors will be in for a treat.

This is our opinion, but it is possible that the show may be incorporated into the night-time Disney: Tales of Magic show, rather than given a standalone show time.
