The first flakes of the year drifted down over Disneyland Paris today, softening rooftops, frosting turrets, and giving Main Street a dusting of extra magic. But this wasn't just a pretty winter moment: it landed like a perfectly timed "first chapter" in what we are fondly calling the year of Frozen at Disneyland Paris resort.
Across social media, fans caught glimpses of the park transforming into a storybook scene in real time-especially around Sleeping Beauty Castle, where the pastel spires looked freshly powdered. Disneyland Paris also shared snowy views that doubled as a sneak peek at the resort's next era, with photos spotlighting the expansion taking shape around World of Frozen.

A Reel Moment Of Magic
In a reel posted today, the official Disneyland Paris Instagram account tied the snowfall to what's coming next with a wink that fans instantly latched onto, bridging the park's fairy-tale icon with Arendelle's own landmark. The caption begins: "From one castle to another, the first snow of the year has arrived..." and invites visitors to "join us" starting 29th March to discover World of Frozen.
The Perfect Start To What's Coming
It's hard to script a better lead-in: snow falling now, with World of Frozen, which is set to open 29 March 2026, bringing guests into an Arendelle-inspired world with a major new attraction and experiences built around Anna, Elsa, and friends.
Disneyland Paris has positioned the opening as a key milestone in the transformation of its second gate into Disney Adventure World, and today's snowfall made those future "nordic enchantment" visuals feel suddenly very real. While guests bundled up for photos along the park's pathways, the most talked-about images were the ones that looked like they'd been pulled straight from a frame in the Frozen films
The highlight of the day though was the sight of Arendelle dusted with real snow, tantalisingly tempting visitors with views of what is soon to become one of the busiest areas of the soon to be named Disney Adventure World. And while the area does not open for another 83 days, this is is just a glimpse of the magic which will soon be enchanting visitors.
Magic In A Minute
The first snowfall has happened in Disneyland Paris framing the beginning of the Year of Frozen. As visitors glimpsed the snowy tips of the Arendelle skyline above the construction boards, the magic Disneyland Paris is bringing to life may have escaped just a little today offering a storybook hint of the resort's next big headline.
