EasyJet is introducing Starlink Wi-Fi to it's fleet, with installation starting in the first half of the year and completion expected by early 2028. The rollout covers its A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft. asyJet says passengers on equipped planes will be able to browse, stream and play online games using their own devices.

For families planning Disney and Universal holidays from the UK this news changes how you plan in-flight entertainment for the whole family whether you're on a quick hop to Paris or using easyJet as part of an indirect route to Orlando.

When Will easyJet Flights Have Wi-Fi?

Beginning in the first half of 2027 and continuing into early 2028, easyJet will be installing Starlink Wi-Fi to its A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft. The availability of Starlink Wi-Fi during this time will vary; some flights will have Wi-Fi during 2027 while others will not until installation is complete.

The role out will make onward travel planning and in-flight entertainment options easier for travellers visiting Disney from the UK as part of a Disneyland Paris trip or an indirect flight route to Orlando.

The benefits of having Wi-Fi onboard will give holiday planners:

  • the ability to watch the entertainment they want, stream shows, and play games
  • EasyJet have also said that people may be able to order items from their inflight menu using the Starlink connection although this is not yet confirmed
  • the chance to check the time of connecting flights
  • work online
  • make last minute adjustments to arrival plans

Kenton Jarvis, CEO at easyJet said:

“Giving customers the opportunity to get online in the air will mean even greater choice and convenience when you fly with easyJet.”

While the roll-out does not have fixed dates passengers will need to continue to download their own entertainment before flying as planes do not currently have Wi-Fi onboard.

EasyJet has not yet announced whether Starlink access will be included with the cost of the flight, or whether they will charge an additional fee for using their new onboard Wi-Fi.

Business Traveller has reported Starlink will manage access, with further information-including pricing-to follow as the first aircraft are equipped. easyJet have also described connectivity as optional.

How Onboard Wi-Fi Impacts Disneyland Paris Trips

For a holiday over to Disneyland Paris, onboard Wi-Fi can make the journey a little easier; especially as a connection from Charles De Gaul is needed to get to Disneyland Paris. Ordering an UBER, checking the times of trains for a train connection or even checking the weather can help make transfers easier.

While entertainment for the short flight could be seen as less important than on a Florida flight, it can still help make the journey more comfortable. For a short journey, downloaded programmes and offline games may already cover most of what your family needs.

If you are booking Disneyland Paris for 2027, treat easyJet's Wi-Fi offering as something you may have. At this time and into 2027, Wi-Fi with easyJet is not worth factoring into your decision making when choosing who to fly with.

Florida: easyJet As Part Of An Indirect Flight Route

UK holidaymakers heading to Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando, may also want to take note of this news if considering an indirect flight option, or using easyJet to travel from a regional airport to one of the three main UK airports offering direct flights to Orlando.

For a self-connecting flight within the UK Wi-Fi on the flight will have a minimal impact. Downloading something to watch is easy but it is the convenience of not having to do that when preparing for a Florida flight that saves time in the days before you travel that makes a difference.

Magic In A Minute

UK holidaymakers planning Disneyland Paris and Orlando holidays to Disney World and Universal Resort Florida could find the new easyJet Starliknk Wi-Fi roll-out, due to complete in 2028 and beginning in earl 2027 changes the in-flight experience. The option of WI-FI onboard could make onward connections easier, offering a smoother travel day expeirence.
