World of Disney: Disney Springs

Disney Holidays has given one of its Walt Disney World booking benefits a much clearer name for UK guests, replacing the broad "Magical Extras" wording on its booking pages with "Exclusive Disney Springs Discounts". It's a small presentation change rather than a major new holiday perk, but it makes it considerably clearer that eligible direct bookings include vouchers for savings on dining, shopping, and activities at Disney Springs.

Changes To The Perk: The Key Details

Disney's UK holiday site is now promoting the booking benefit as "Exclusive Disney Springs Discounts" rather than the vaguer "Magical Extras" wording for the book of discounts you get before your holiday as a thanks for booking with us.

Is this a new discount scheme?

It appears to be primarily a naming and presentation change. The current benefit still uses the Little Big Book of Vouchers containing discounts for eligible bookings.

Who gets the Disney Springs discounts?

Packages that include a Disney ticket and a stay of at least five nights qualify under Disney's current terms.

What discounts are included?

Current examples include savings at Rainforest Cafe, City Works, Splitsville, Kendra Scott and Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers.

Disney Springs Discounts: A Clearer Name For The Perk

Disney's UK holiday website is now putting the name "Exclusive Disney Springs Discounts" front and centre for one of the benefits included when booking directly through Walt Disney Travel Company. The dedicated page carries that title, and the same wording now appears in navigation across parts of the Walt Disney World booking site.

More descriptive and accurate than the previous "Magical Extras" terminology, which could cover almost anything from a souvenir to a booking benefit.

The interesting part here is that Disney doesn't appear to be unveiling a completely new perk and the name change has happened quietly. Instead, it’s making an existing benefit easier for UK holidaymakers to understand before they book. The current official page continues to describe the Little Big Book of Vouchers and the discounts associated with eligible Walt Disney World packages.

What are the Disney Springs Discounts?

For qualifying bookings, Disney provides a Little Big Book of Vouchers containing savings that can be used during a Walt Disney World holiday. Disney's current UK terms say the package must include a Disney ticket and be for at least five nights to qualify for the Disney Springs discounts.

The current examples Disney advertises include:

  • 10% off at Rainforest Cafe

  • 10% off at City Works Eatery & Pour House

  • 10% off bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes

  • 10% off Surrey Bikes

  • 15% off at Kendra Scott

  • 10% off at Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers

Disney says the discounts can vary and are subject to change, with individual terms and any block-out dates provided on the vouchers guests receive.

There's Also A UK Disney Store Discount

Disney currently includes 15% off a first eligible order at DisneyStore.co.uk for bookings made through Walt Disney Travel Company. That obviously isn't a Disney Springs discount as you can use it here in the UK before travelling, but it sits alongside the wider package of booking benefits on Disney's current page.

So "Disney Springs Discounts" is a better description of the main Florida-based perk, but it isn't a perfect description of absolutely every discount included. You’ll also get your discount code for Disney Store separately to the Disney Store discount.

Has Anything Changed For People Already Booked?

No, nothing has changed if you already have a booking, you’ll still get your voucher booklet. It’s looking like a simple rename that will not impact what you get at all. There is no indication in Disney's current information that the rename represents a major change to how the voucher benefit works. You’ll still get vouchers and be able to use them if you shop in eligible Disney Springs shops.

Magic In A Minute

Disney's UK Walt Disney World booking site is now highlighting "Exclusive Disney Springs Discounts" instead of the broader "Magical Extras" wording for this benefit. It's a small branding and clarity change, to make the discounts you’ll get clearer to understand.
