But getting through the online virtual queue doesn’t guarantee that the collection will remain in stock, no matter what position you get given. The Disney Lorcana 2026 D23 Collection goes on sale at 8am BST tomorrow, Friday 14th August, to coincide with the beginning of the D23 event in Anaheim. The website says:
"The Disney Lorcana 2026 D23 collection lands online at DisneyStore.co.uk at 8am on the 14th of August Set your reminders: The virtual waiting room will be active from 7.45am ahead of the launch at 8am. Due to very limited quantities, this will be available for the UK only and limited to one per guest."
For UK Disney fans, it’s great to see that the Lorcana release is not restricted to people who can attend the D23 event in Anaheim. UK shoppers can instead attempt to buy it directly through DisneyStore.co.uk when it launches tomorrow morning. And for D23 fans they can also watch the D23 Horizons livestream in the UK on Disney+.
When Should You Join The Disney Store UK Lorcana Waiting Room?
Aim to be on Disney Store UK shortly before 7.45am; there’s no advantage to arriving significantly earlier. Disney says its site-wide holding room opens approximately 15 minutes before a scheduled high-demand release. But importantly, this isn't a conventional first-come, first-served queue.
Everyone waiting when the event begins at 8.00am is randomly assigned a position, so being the first person to enter the holding room doesn't guarantee you'll be first onto the website. Once your position has been allocated, the page will automatically refresh when it is your turn to enter.
Getting through the queue also doesn't reserve the D23 collection. Disney are specifically warning that stock may sell out while customers are still waiting.
Will The D23 Lorcana Launch Affect The Whole Disney Store UK Website?
Yes. Disney is using a site-wide waiting room for tomorrow's Lorcana launch, so even shoppers looking for unrelated Disney merchandise could be affected. Disney is advising customers who aren't shopping for the D23 release to complete their purchases by 7.44am to avoid being caught in the waiting-room system.

The 2026 D23 Collection contains six special foil cards, including the first Disney Lorcana card released publicly from the upcoming Hyperia City set. It’s commemorative collection featuring familiar glimmers from previous adventures in special presentation cards.
Hyperia City is Disney Lorcana's forthcoming Q4 2026 expansion, and Ravensburger says one card inside the D23 Collection will be the first card from that set made available to the public. No. Disney Store UK has a separate D23 Product Launch scheduled for Monday 17th August 2026, after the D23 Horizon event in Anaheim wraps.
