Why this matters for UK trip planning
This is the kind of experience that appeals to both families and Disney adults, with the potential to add extra memorable magic to that once-in-a-lifetime trip.
From a trip perspective, this dining experience doesn’t need a park ticket as it is in a resort hotel rather than inside one of the four parks. This makes it a perfect option for:
a mother / daughter date at Disney
a rest day experience
a Magic Kingdom break as the Grand Floridian is ideally located on the monorail loop
a birthday or special occasion treat
What the experience includes
Disney's newly shared details lean into a classic afternoon tea structure of tea selections paired with scones, small bites and pastries. Plus, it’s all wrapped in a whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme.

The tea menu
Twinings tea has been served across the Disney Resort area for yeas, so naturally the afternoon tea is being built around a selection of teas from the famous UK based brand. Here are just a few of the teas that Disney Parks Blog share as being amongst the Twinings Loose Leaf Tea options to enjoy:
London Strand Breakfast Tea
Spicy Chai
Orangery of Lady Grey
Nutty Chocolate Flavoured Assam
Blackcurrant and Lavender herbal tea
Disney also says Cast Members will act as "tea guides" to help you tailor your cup with extra aromatics and sweetness.
There are also alcoholic and cocktail options available including two new signature tea based cocktails: Mint Tulip and Mar-TEA-ni.
The food menu
When it comes to the food menu for afternoon tea, everything is perfectly Alice in Wonderland themed. An orange and cranberry scone will be served with the following:
Curried Chicken Salad Playing Card Tart: Savoury curried chicken salad filling topped with cherry gelée
Footman’s Feast: Wonderland Salmon Crisp with a salmon rillette on a miso brown butter crisp
Tweedledee Egg Salad Sandwich: A traditional egg salad on beet bread
Caterpillar Cucumber Roll: A delicious combination with butterfly pea-infused cream cheese and cucumbers on pumpernickel

The Matcha Mad Hatter: Sponge cake with apricot jam and yuzu buttercream
Tea Party Tart: Vanilla tart, coffee custard, and Chantilly cream
Flamingo Croquet Choux filled with passion fruit cream and a raspberry crunch
Painting the Rose: Earl Grey-flavoured teacake painted tableside
Disney has also confirmed that there will be a plant-based afternoon tea.
Expect this experience to sell out fairly quickly when the booking window opens on 19th February. If this is a must do for your holiday, be sure to set an alarm in your phone and book this experience first.
