What is the new Aspire Lounge at Manchester T2?

The new Aspire Lounge is a larger, brighter, contemporary airport lounge opening in Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport in late August 2026. Built to seat over 300 guests near the D gates, it's designed to relieve the overcrowding at the current small T2 Aspire lounge.

Offering travellers a calm, comfortable space with a tended bar, complimentary buffet, work areas, and dedicated family zones before they fly, this is an option to consider for people looking for a quieter experience before heading off on a Disney World holiday.

Where is the new lounge located in Terminal 2?

The new lounge sits near the D gates, at the far right-hand side of Terminal 2. It’s away from the busy areas of T2’s Departure Lounge and is specifically designed for a quieter experience, but it also doesn’t have runway view windows. If you’re looking to escape the airport feel altogether this could be the lounge for you, but equally this might not be ideal if you like to watch the planes go by before flying

Why is Aspire opening a second Terminal 2 lounge?

This will be the second Aspire lounge inside Terminal 2 and Aspire's third lounge at Manchester Airport overall. The existing T2 Aspire lounge by the B gates is popular and gets booked-up, especially at peak times. It's been known to turn away lounge-pass holders when it fills up. A purpose-built space with triple-figure capacity is designed to help meet the demand and reduce the likelihood of the other lounge becoming full without an Aspire alternative for guests,

What's it like inside the new Aspire Lounge?

Expect bright and contemporary vibes with décor designed to feel calm and artwork and wall finishes that nod to Manchester's industrial heritage. The lounge is being split into dedicated zones:

  • Quiet relaxation areas for decompressing before a long-haul flight.

  • Private work rooms and business desk booths, handy if you need to send a few last emails before switching off for the holiday.

  • Family-friendly seating zones

  • Socialising and dining spaces

  • On the food and drink front, expect a fully tended bar alongside a complimentary buffet of hot and cold food, plus premium beers, wines and spirits.

How much does the new Aspire Lounge cost?

If you book directly with Aspire the current advertised pricing for dates from the 18th August 2026:

Adult

£46.99

Child (aged 3 - 15)

£31.99

Giving three hours of Lounge access, and offering guests a relaxing atmosphere in departures before boarding, this experience will cost:

  • UK families of 4 with two children 15 or under: £157.96

  • UK couple: £93.98

  • UK family of 6, with two children under 15: £251.94

This will include food and drinks options, so could be a consideration in comparison to the cost of eating in a restaurant at departures.

Can you use Priority Pass or DragonPass at the new lounge?

Access will also be available via Priority Pass, DragonPass, and for specific airline business class or status passengers. If you already hold one of these , it is worth checking how this will work for you from 18th August 2026.

Is the Aspire Lounge worth it for families flying to Walt Disney World?

This particular lounge may be better suited to couples looking to grab a few hours work in before jetting off. This lounge does not have windows so might not be suited to everyone. It is definitely an option worth considering if you are weighing up adding a lounge experience in to your travel day to Florida, and it will provide an escape from the busy departures area.

Some of the reasons why a lounge booking could be worth it before a Florida flight:

  • Somewhere calm to rest before the long haul flight and useful after a 4am alarm and a motorway dash to the airport.

  • Free food and drink for the kids, so they can have what they want

  • Charging and downtime; top up tablets and power banks before boarding the flight.

  • Family zones in this lounge are a real bonus over a one-size-fits-all lounge when you've got restless children.

It won't suit everyone, and a lounge isn’t worth it of you’re doing a trip with a budget in mind.

Magic In A Minute

The second Aspire Lounge in Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2 Departures area is a 300-plus-seat, family-friendly lounge option now taking bookings from the 18th August 2026. It’s yet another airport lounge option in this freshly refurbished Terminal, which is great news for UK holidaymakers flying from Manchester to Orlando.
