Disney Store: free Disney UK event
When: 4th May 2026
Where: Disney Store, Oxford Street, London and Disney Store, Grafton Street, Dublin
The Disney Store on Oxford Street and in Dublin is going all out with their May the 4th celebrations, with a full scale takeover to celebrate the day. And what’s more vents are free, so if you are in the area and looking for a Star War's fix it’s definitely worth popping in.
Expect a full-scale Star Wars takeover with:
Jedi Training Academy: Young Padawans can learn lightsaber manoeuvres in interactive sessions.
The 501st Legion: Meet the world-famous costuming group.
Expect screen-accurate Stormtroopers and Sith Lords patrolling the shop floor for high-quality photo ops.
LEGO Smart Play Demo: An exclusive interactive building experience tailored for the 2026 celebrations.
Speeder Make & Take: A family-friendly workshop where kids can build and keep a Star Wars-inspired craft.

Kent & East Sussex Railway: Star Wars Monday

Where: Kent & East Sussex Railway
Kent and East Sussex Railway are hosting a dedicated "Star Wars Monday" on May 4th. This look like an incredible interactive event for families and adults that will be worth heading to. As part of the day there will be:
Meet 'Terry' the Tauntaun: Pose with a life-size replica of the iconic Hoth snow-lizard.
Prop Master Class: Meet Michael Whiteley, a legendary prop maker who worked on Return of the Jedi. He'll be chatting with fans and signing autographs.
Cosplay Trains: Fans are encouraged to travel on heritage steam trains in full costume, with prizes for the best-dressed families. You are encouraged to get dressed up.
Star Wars Fan Fun Day (Blackburn)
When: Monday, May 4, 2026
Where: Ewood Park (Home of Blackburn Rovers FC)
This Star Wars Fan Fun Day event is in it’s 15th year and you will need tickets to attend. The tickets are £15 for adults and £7.50 for children, with the event supporting East Lancashire Hospice. A massive staple of the UK Star Wars fandom calendar, this is an independent, fan-run convention packed with merchandise stalls, fantastic cosplay, and celebrity guests. There is a Star Wars guest roster including Rosaline Halstead and Michael Carter, adding to a Star Wars atmosphere for true fans of the franchise.
GeekVault Star Wars Day (Southend-on-Sea)
When: Saturday, May 2, 2026 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Where: GeekVault, The Royals Shopping Centre, Essex
If you want to kick off the bank holiday weekend early, head down to the coast. GeekVault is hosting a dedicated Star Wars event in The Royals Shopping Centre with a signing event featuring Richard Stride (Poggle The Lesser), Simon J. Williamson (Max Rebo), and Aidan Cook (Two Tubes). Expect roaming characters, giveaways, and in-store deals.
Museum Exhibition "May The Toys Be With You" (Alnwick, Northumberland)

Where: Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery (right next to Alnwick Castle)
If you appreciate the history and impact of the franchise, this is unmissable. This exhibition houses one of the UK's absolute finest collections of vintage 1977-1985 Star Wars toys, original collectibles, and classic cinema posters. It's a beautifully curated trip down memory lane that explores the design work that permanently stamped our cultural landscape. “May The Toys Be With You” at Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery is running not just for Star Wars Day but throughout the month, so if you can’t make it on Bank Holiday Monday, it may be worth considering for May Half-Term if you have a Star Wars fan in your household.
LEGO Star Wars Week (May 1-6)
If you are looking to add some shopping to your week, this is more of a merchandise event than something you can go to experience, but it is worth mentioning that it is Lego Star Wars Week. This means LEGO have some great offers currently on Star Wars themed LEGO, and some great new releases. The flagship release is the Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter.
