While you may not think this sounds like something you need to be thinking about, this increase is going to add quite a bit to your budget over 14 days. Not to mention that if you were considering visiting multiple theme parks in a day this increase might mean you need to change your plans.
The Price Increase
Parking Type | Old Price $ | Old Price £ | New Price $ | New Price £ |
Standard (car or motorcycle) | $30 | £22.38 | $35 | £26.11 |
Preferred (closer to gate) | $45-55 | £33.56 - £41 | $50-60 | £37.29 - £44.75 |
Oversized (camper, RV, bus etc) | $35 | £26.11 | $40 | £29.84 |
(All prices in £ are subject to variation depending on the exchange rate)
The price increase has taken effect immediately, so anyone heading out from the UK will immediately need to be able to find an extra $5 a day to park. Guests do only pay one parking charge per day and can move their car between parks, as long as you keep the ticket safe.
This price increase will only hit those UK visitors who are staying off property and have a hire car to get around.
The price increase will not affect guests who hire a car and stay at Disney property or annual pass holders. Both will continue to be able to park for free. Annual pass holders have however been hit with price increase today too, as the only annual pass available to UK guests has jumped up by $80! The cost of buying a ticket on the gate has also increased, making the UK Exclusive Magic Ticket a more appealing option for UK guests currently.

What The Price Increase Means For UK Visitors
For UK visitors, this change highlights the importance of factoring in the cost of car parking at all Florida theme parks early on in your planning and budgeting process. For anyone who has done the maths and budgeted for car parking, they are currently going to need to find an extra $70 out of their spending money to pay for car parking at Walt Disney World this trip. That works out to £52.21 on today’s exchange rate.
The cost of parking in Walt Disney World for 14 days, assuming a 14 day Magic Ticket is bought and you plan on visiting the park for the full 14 days is $490. That means you need to set aside an extra £365.48 for parking charges at Walt Disney World.
That number might make you reconsider hiring a car, or may even make you take another look at the cost of staying on site in a Disney hotel. If you are looking at doing Disney World on a tight budget, and you want to spend most of your trip at Disney getting the most out of your ticket, a Disney hotel might be the cheapest option when you look at the big picture.

Alternative Transport Options
If you are staying off site and have not yet sorted out a hire car it might be time to get the calculator out and reassess the costs. There are other transport options available to enter the Disney parks that could work out a cheaper option.
UBER - this could work out cheaper. For example an UBER from International Drive can cost as little as $15 to get into the parks. But at peak times and on peak dates, it can be in excess of $50.
Off site hotel accommodation - Lots of off site hotels offer transport into the parks. At some hotels it is free; whilst at other there is a small fee. The transportation frequency varies and it can book up very quickly.
Lyft - pricing works very similar to UBER, but you can check both apps to find the cheapest option.
The plus of a hire car is the efficiency and certainty that you can travel when you want to. You can also budget better aa parking and your daily charge can be worked out before travelling.
Impact On Disney World UK Visitors Costs
The price increase will impact those UK Disney fans who are looking to save money by staying off site and still planned to get the most use out of a Disney 14 day Magic Ticket during their trip. The fewer days you plan to spend in a Disney Park, the less of an impact this price increase will have on your spending money if you have a hire car.
Final Word
Disney’s latest parking price increase is relatively small on its own. For UK guests travelling long-haul on a budget however, it’s another reminder that every pound adds up when your planning and booking a Walt Disney World trip from the UK .
If you’re planning your Disney World trip from the UK for 2025, 2026 or beyond, consider the full picture when planning and budgeting. Choosing a Disney hotel with free parking and transport around the resort might not be as expensive as you first thought.
