After years of waiting, UK and European viewers are finally getting access to Hulu. Well, sort of. Beginning 8th October 2025, the long-running US streaming brand will make its international debut, but not as a standalone app. It will be part of a Disney+ redesign.

That means no new subscriptions, no separate login, and no extra apps cluttering up the TV. Instead Hulu will officially join Disney+ as one of the six main content hubs, sitting alongside Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
We’re expecting The Simpsons creators to be deeply offended by this and expect another comment like you find in The Simpsons 2023 short, Maggie Simpson in Rogue Not Quite One.

For Disney fans in the UK, this marks one of the biggest updates to the streaming service since its launch in 2020. It may also perhaps take the sting out of the recent subscription price increase.
What’s Changing on Disney+?
The most visible difference you’re going to notice is the new look and layout of Disney+, The long standing Star title where you will have found more mature and general adult-orientated entertainment titles is being retired and replaced with Hulu.
The refreshed interface is promising a cleaner design and a more personalised homepage. Disney say that this will be an easier way to find content. Larger show banners, smoother navigation, and a fresh, modern feel is the expectation.
Disney+ acquired Hulu from Comcast earlier this year and on 2nd October it was announced that the US streaming platform would be shutting down. Hulu has been streaming in the US for around 20 years, and the integration with Disney+ marks a huge change in the subscription landscape over the pond. The international market is the first to receive the integrated service and the UK is included in that.
What UK Viewers Can Expect From Hulu on Disney+
Now before you get too excited thinking that there is a sudden new influx of content to enjoy this weekend, we have some bad news to share. There isn’t. Most of Hulu’s most popular titles, Only Murders In The Building, The Bear, and A Thousand Blows are already available on Disney+ in the UK. They were under the Star banner.
The big change is the branding and the future potential. Hulu’s arrival in the UK should hopefully pave the way for exclusive Hulu Originals arriving on our screens in the UK faster. There is also hopefully going to be easier access to the US content we all love to watch.
For now this shift is going to feel more cosmetic, but it does represent a significant shift in how Disney are delivering their content to International audiences. In the US, the Hulu integration is not due to happen until later in 2026.

Costs
Disney+ are not introducing Hulu and charging more. However it is worth noting that this addition is coming hot on the heels of a significant price increase that could have left many UK Disney+ subscribers weighing up their cancellation options.
Hulu will add some more value for money, but whether that’s enough to accept the recent price increase is a decision you will need to make yourself.
New Hulu Shows Landing Soon
Disney+ are not hanging around, and new Hulu shows are scheduled for release soon. The official trailer for new show All’s Fair dropping on 4th November and starring Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, and Glenn Close, looks bingeworthy. Check out the trailer below:
The arrival of Hulu on Disney+ is more than a name change, it’s the next step in Disney’s global streaming strategy. For UK subscribers, it means a refreshed experience, stronger show line-up, and it may offer more reasons to stick with Disney+.
So whether your into Only Murders in the Building or looking for your new favourite show with a touch of female empowerment in All’s Fair the Hulu integration looks set to bring some great TV to UK households.
