The Manchester Exchange and Birmingham Bull Ring Disney Store pop-ups are not open. The scheduled opening in both Selfridges stores on 13th October 2025 has been quietly cancelled. But not permanently. The Disney Store pop up openings have been delayed until 6th November.
There is no pop-up store in either of these locations. Sol, if you had pencilled the opening date in your diary with excitement and made plans to visit this weekend: don’t go! Here’s everything we know…
Which Disney Store Pop-Ups Are Open?
The London store opened as scheduled on 22nd October 2025. The stock looks incredible and there is a lot of Disney Parks merch.
The next Disney Store pop-up to open was Manchester Trafford Centre. On opening day, there was some Disney Parks merch but the pop-up was a section you could easily walk past. No arches or Sorcerer Mickey statue like in London.
The Disney Store pop-up in Manchester Exchange and in Birmingham Bull Ring were scheduled to open on 13th October. This has now been delayed until 6th November 2025. This date is coincidentally the official launch date of the Disney and Selfridges Christmas 2025 collaboration: “A Most Magical Christmas”.
The Missing Disney Store Pop-Ups.
Staff in the Manchester Selfridges Store were confused as to why the delay had occurred. It’s also interesting that the shop layout was the same as the Manchester Trafford Centre’s Disney section. It appeared half decorated as if just Disney Store stock was missing.
There was Selfridge’s Disney food products on display, with a few ornaments, but all to the “A Most Magical Christmas” backdrop. A whirling Disney coin looked discombobulated and alone in an unusually disjointed Selfridge’s display. Mary Poppins style Lampposts lined the way to the wall of lifts where a dark sky backdrop with a small Tinkerbell and the words “A Most Magical Christmas” could be read.
In Birmingham, a loan Disney decorated tree was whirling. With spinning Disney symbols in all three Selfridge’s stores north of London, it felt a bit like they had captured the disappointed emotions of a Disney fan with a feed full of London pop-up Disney Store amazement.

“A Most Magical Christmas”
The collaboration is set to bring Disney magic to Selfridge’s stores across the UK. There will even be Disney themed bags for purchases from 6th November. The collaboration will involve Disney themed display windows, but possibly only in London.
Staff in Selfridges at the Trafford Centre have confirmed that the Disney Store pop-up there will be growing in size for the 6th November launch.
“A Most Magical Christmas” is an exciting collaboration, but this Disney fan is asking if moving the date to the 6th November is to hide a lack of the promised stock? So far, the magic is missing for Disney fans North of London. Only time will tell what will happen on 6th November...
Why Have They Been Delayed?
We don’t know why Selfridges and the Disney Store here in the UK have had to delay the opening of these pop-up stores. We have reached out to both Disney Store and Selfridges for comment.
For UK Disney fans, it is disappointing that the pop-up stores have not opened. Comments on the Birmingham Bull Ring post, which is as much in the dark as we are, shows the frustration and sadness.
What makes this just a bit worse, is that the Disney Store are still showing that these stores are open. Many Disney UK fans will be willing to travel a long way to get to these pop-ups and a wasted journey will just add to the disappointment. Come on Disney Store UK, we understand hiccups but please tell us!
