Disney Dream Sails Into Liverpool

As part of a 7-day itinerary for a cruise of the UK, the Disney Dream docks in Liverpool today, for guests to explore the iconic sights of this Northern city. It’s day 4 of the cruise for guests on the ship, who were able to come ashore this morning to enjoy everything Liverpool has to offer.

Liverpool: An Exciting Day Out

Docking at 8:08am, a little later than the itinerary states, guests will be in Liverpool until 5pm. Liverpool, a city steeped in history and culture has lots to offer guests departing the boat. With only have a short walk until they reach the famous Albert Dock area, home to some incredible attractions including:

• The Beatles Story

• International Slavery Museum

• Merseyside Maritime Museum

Walking a little further across the road from the Albert Docks, guests will enter Liverpool One. With dining, entertainment, and plenty of shops for visitors to explore Liverpool has something to offer everyone disembarking the Disney Dream.

It’s fitting that the Dream includes Liverpool on its itinerary, a city which is the size of Walt Disney Resort in Florida. The magical Brit favourite holiday destination is often only compared to San Francisco in size, but Liverpool is actually the UK size equivalent. That also means that Liverpool is the same size as San Francisco, a city in the USA in the state of California with other similarities.

The Dream was last in Liverpool last September as part of her season in the UK. Docking on 14th September 2023, she always draws crowds to the waterfront as the boat plays fan favourite Disney tunes upon departure. Have you heard the horn? It’s a musical ‘when you wish upon a star’.

A wet sail away

As the Dream left port from Liverpool this evening, the heavens opened. Unlike last year when music was played from the ship during the sail away, this year she left Liverpool in wind and rain. As she sailed the River Mersey and out into the Irish Sea, all was silent apart from the whistling wind and crashing waves, creating a surreal yet dreamy sight.

A Family Experience

The Disney Dream is the third ship to have joined the Disney cruise fleet, which is expanding rapidly in the next few years. The Disney Treasure will launch on 21st December 2024 and the Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure, both launching in 2025. Entertainment on the Disney Dream

It’s been a wet few days in the UK, with hail falling this afternoon, but guests aboard the Dream have plenty of Disney magic to keep them entertained. Having already experienced the famous Marvel Sea Day on Monday, guests will be enjoying live shows and entertainment, character meet and greets, Disney dining experiences and the aqua duck slide as well as Goofy’s Sports Deck.

Shows are always a big part of any Disney experience and the Dream has its own exclusive performances. This includes:
