How to get Disney+ included with your Sky TV subscription (March 2026 Update)

Watching TV got easier with fewer separate subscriptions

If you're paying for Sky and Disney+ right now, this could be one of the easiest ways to cut a monthly bill without losing any of your watchlist.

Sky and Disney have announced a new multi-year UK & Ireland agreement that will see Disney+ Standard with Ads included in eligible Sky TV subscriptions from March 2026. This marks that there is going to be a deeper integration into Sky's interface, plus a brand-new Disney+ Cinema channel is coming exclusively for Sky Cinema customers.

What's happening (the key facts)

  • Disney+ Standard with Ads will be included in eligible Sky TV packages from March 2026.

  • The Disney+ app will be more tightly integrated into Sky OS, including appearing in Continue Watching and recommendations.

  • Disney+ Cinema (a new channel) will launch exclusively for Sky Cinema customers, designed to help you discover Disney+ movies.

  • You'll be able to activate Disney+ through Sky Q, Sky Glass, or Sky Stream, and existing Disney+ customers can move profiles across.

This isn't just a bundle: it changes how you browse

Most bundles still leave you hopping between apps and forgetting what you started watching, (we've all been there).

Sky's big play here is the integration: Disney+ shows and films will sit alongside Sky content in the same rails and recommendations; so you're less likely to "lose" series across services and more likely to actually use the subscription you're paying for.

For busy UK households, it means fewer buttons to press and less logging in and out of apps so you’ll have more choice and fewer steps when deciding what to watch. This is one of the reasons for Disney Plus entering into the partnership with Sky.

Karl Holmes, General Manager, Disney+, The Walt Disney Company EMEA said:

"This agreement gives millions of Sky customers a simple, seamless way to enjoy all the great stories that Disney+ offers,"

Part of A Super Bundle

The Disney+ addition is part of Sky's massive new Ultimate TV super-bundle, which, from April 2026, will cost £24 per month (on a 24-month contract). This single subscription is a UK first, combining:

  • Netflix,

  • Disney+,

  • HBO Max,

  • Hayu

It’s a collection of apps worth over £20 per month if bought separately. For many households, this effectively reduces the cost of the Sky hardware and live channels to just a few pounds a month.

The Upgrade Price

If you want to ditch the ads, Sky has confirmed a 'pay the difference' model. Because the £5.99 value of the 'Standard with Ads' plan is already baked into your Sky bill, you only pay the surplus to level up. This means you can upgrade to Disney+ Standard (No Ads) for just £4 extra per month, or go all-in with Disney+ Premium (4K & 4 Screens) for an additional £9 per month.

Which Sky customers get Disney+ included?

Disney+ Standard with Ads will be included for new and existing Sky Ultimate TV customers and all Sky Q customers, except some entry packages (Sky lists TV Essentials and Sky Basics as exclusions). It's also not included with Sky+ packages.

Sky also describes this as part of its single subscription approach bringing multiple streamers together under one roof.

The included plan is Disney+ Standard with Ads. That means:

  • You get the Disney+ library, but

  • you'll see ad breaks (how many can vary by programme and device)

If you already know you prefer ad-free, (or you want Premium features), Sky-linked Disney+ accounts are expected to offer upgrade paths. Some early reporting also suggests you'll keep a saving equivalent to the value of the included tier when upgrading, but exact upgrade pricing can vary by package and promotion.

What about the new Disney+ Cinema channel?

This is one of the most interesting parts for families: Sky Cinema subscribers will get a linear Disney+ Cinema channel, basically a what's on stream of Disney+ movies.

It's designed to help you discover films you might not click on otherwise (and to put Disney+ in front of people who still love channel-surfing).

If you already pay for Disney+ here’s what will happen to your account. Sky and Disney say existing subscribers will be able to move their Disney+ account and profiles to Sky seamlessly when activating through eligible Sky hardware.

Why are Sky and Disney doing this now?

Disney+ gets access to millions of households who may not currently subscribe (and, crucially, it boosts the ad-supported audience advertisers want).

Sky strengthens its position as the "everything lives here" aggregator as streaming choices keep multiplying (and as households get pickier about what they keep each month).

What UK Disney fans are asking next

Will Disney+ be included on NOW?

Sky's announcement focuses on Sky TV packages, but NOW often mirrors parts of Sky's ecosystem. Early coverage suggests NOW customers will see some related changes around other apps, but Disney+ inclusion appears tied to specific Sky TV packages, not a blanket NOW rollout.

Will Disney+ be included with Sky Stream and Sky Glass?

Yes, activation is specifically mentioned via Sky Stream and Sky Glass (as well as Sky Q), as long as you're on an eligible package.

When in March 2026 does it start?

The official messaging says March 2026, while Sky's own comms indicate dates can vary ("date to be confirmed" in some materials) and some reporting points to late March for parts of the wider bundle rollout. Expect Sky to confirm exact activation dates closer to launch.

What to do next (so you don't miss it)

If you already have Sky: check your package name (Ultimate TV / Sky Q package level) and whether you're in an excluded tier.

If you pay for Disney+ separately: make a note of your login email so you can link/transfer smoothly when activation opens.

If ads are a deal-breaker: plan for a potential upgrade, but wait for Sky to publish the final upgrade pricing for your exact package.

Magic in a Minute

From March 2026, many Sky households will effectively get Disney+ bundled in and the bigger win might be how much easier Sky makes it to actually find what you want to watch.
