Riding the Magic
A truly magical collaboration between leading equestrian brand LeMieux and Disney was unveiled on 8th October; a hobby horse collection featuring some of our favourite horses from Disney animated films.
HOYS, LeMieux and Disney
This collection looks incredible in the promotional stills, but walking into the shopping area at HOYS, it was even more incredible to see and feel these beautiful hobby horses in person. It was such a surprise to find them at the finals of the Horse Show of the Year in Birmingham yesterday!
The whole range was on show to buy, and includes the following beloved Disney horses:
Maximus from Rapunzel / Tangled
Pegasus from Hercules
Sven from Frozen
Bullseye from Toy Story
It’s quite the eclectic range of ponies, (and a reindeer). There are also accessories that you can buy to add even more Disney magic to your hobby horse. Costing £68.95 each the hobby horses also have a detachable wooden stick.

Hobby Horses
Hobby horses have connotations for many of a Victorian children’s toy. However, in recent years the hobby horse has become popular once more. No longer just considered a children’s toy, hobby horsing is also now a competetive sport in some countries. There are competitions, such as the UK Hobby Horse Championships, where riders perform dressage and show jumping using the ‘stick horse’.
The equestrian hobby horse trend is showing no signs of slowing down and this new Disney range will clearly bring joy to many of the participants as well as younger children looking for a new toy. The timing of this release is perfect, and looking at the horses at the show they would make a delightful Christmas present for any Disney Prince or Princess.
