A nostalgic chapter of Disney’s Hollywood Studios has come to an end. As of 12th October 2025, Disney Junior fans will no longer be able to see their favourite characters at the park. Not only has Animation Courtyard been closed down resulting in the loss of Disney Junior Dance Party, also the Disney Junior character meet and greets have gone with no word on their return. With the removal of Disney Junior characters from the Hollywood & Vine character breakfast fans will no longer be able to meet Disney Junior characters in the parks.
For UK visitors planning a late 2025 or 2026 Walt Disney World holiday, this marks a notable change, especially for families with children who have grown up with Vampirina, Doc Mc Stuffins, and Fancy Nancy.

What Changed and When?
The official Walt Disney World Website stated:
"Beginning October 12, 2025, Minnie Mouse and her friends will appear at breakfast for Minnie's Seasonal Dining. Guests dining breakfast will continue to experience Disney Junior Play 'n' Dine through October 11, 2025"
The End of An Era: Disney Junior Leaves Hollywood Studios
The news follows the permanent closure of Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios on 25th September 2025. With this area being completely reimagined, the parks youngest visitors are saying goodbye to some of their most familiar faces. However Disney Junior is really now an obsolete IP for Disney, as the Disney Junior channels closed down on 1st October 2020, with content moving over to Disney+.
Many of the Disney Junior characters had also not had new episodes for their shows in some years:
Doc McStuffins ran from 2012 - 2020
Vampirina ran from 2017 - 2021
Fancy Nancy ran from 2018 - 2022
This is perhaps the reason why fans are yet to hear if the meet and greets with these characters will be coming back. Meanwhile, other characters such as Donald and Daisy, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and Goofy and Max have already relocated to new areas across Hollywood Studios.
What’s Coming Next?
As one story seems to an end, another is being written in Hollywood Studios, As Animation Courtyard is beginning its transformation into The Walt Disney Studios behind the construction walls there is plenty to look forward to. The nostalgia of Disney Junior is being replaced with true Disney nostalgia in the reimagining of the area. Where, not only the iconic Mickey’s sorcerers hat shape return to the park, but also a nostalgic nod to Disney animation with the attraction The Magic of Disney Animation.
There’s also growing speculation about a potential Bluey addition to Hollywood Studios. And following the announcement by Josh D’Amaro last year that Bluey would be coming to Disney parks and cruises in 2025, we are still waiting for the parks arrival.

Could Bluey be going to replace the Disney Junior line-up at Hollywood & Vine? Only time will tell.
UK Visitors Planning Changes
For anyone looking forward to meeting Doc McStuffins or Vampirina, this news may be disappointing. However the character breakfasts at Hollywood & Vine will still be just as magical as seasonal dining has taken over. This means that you’ll get to enjoy breakfast with Minnie and friends in their Halloween clothes from now until the 5th November. Then from the 5th November 2025 you’ll be able to enjoy Seasonal dining with Minnie and friends in their Christmas outfits.
